Like someone else mentioned, I spelled my name correctlyMar 13 2005Economics
Like someone else mentioned, I spelled my name correctly and was able to string more than 3 words together for my application. It also helps to pay sufficient postage on your application.

All I needed was an SAT score of over 1500, and they pretty much shit themselves accepting me.
SAT: 1510 Male

I applied to a branch campus instead of directlyMar 09 2005Biology
I applied to a branch campus instead of directly into main campus. I have heard that if you choose a major that only certain campuses offer, you have a better chance of getting into your first choice. After you get in, you can always change your mind.... I did 5 times.

Anyone can get into Penn State, but, it's notFeb 26 2005Engineering Department
Anyone can get into Penn State, but, it's not an easy thing to get into your desired major. Be prepared to work like machines. But then again, you'll always find time on the weekends to get drunk, get laid, all that good stuff.
Although I'd say if the grades suck, do something big for your high school extracurriculars, like a black belt in martial arts, high school student council, garage band, whatever, as long as it's something that might make you different or unique from the millions of people that are applying.
SAT: 1030 Male
